In today post, we are going to find out what the Word is for.
Scripture is so intimately ingrained into the Christ-followers experience. As 2 Timothy tells, Scripture is good for the Christ-follower belief system, to know what God disapprove of, to correct when wrong is done, and to instruct on the proper way to live. This ensures that we are competent and equipped with all that needed to do the good work of the Lord.
The Word is for TRUTH
Have you ever needed to know the truth about God, about yourself, other people? The future? The past? The present? The truth about living a good life? Or, how to get out of troubling situations?
Then God’s Word is where you’ll find these truths because the Word only teaches truth; the whole truth and nothing but truth according to God divine providence.
God’s Word is firmly fixed and doesn’t
The Word is for RIGHT
The way the world is set up now, people like to pick and choose parts of the Bible they want to live by and throw out the rest away. This is more than dangerous.
All of the Word is always right, even the part you don’t like or don’t necessarily agree with.
You are to humbly accept God’s Word as right, above your own understanding and desires; submit yourself to God’s Word and learn to see the goodness and rightness in His commands.
All of scripture is for your benefit, even the long genealogies and the boring parts. None of it is arbitrary.
Despite what some believe, God doesn’t want you restricted and miserable. He wants the opposite, you to be free and happy.
He doesn’t require you to do anything unloving, unkind, impure or unwise because He is always righteous, noble, and just
The Word is for your GOOD
There’s this song that’s out that have everyone walking around singing, I’m living my best life.
I’m sorry, but if your life isn’t based in God’s Word you are not living your best life.
The only way to true goodness is through God’s Word. The Word provides everything that is good in life.
In it, you can find safety, good counsel, strength, hope, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, direction, and so much more.
As Christ -followers, the Word of God should be trusted in every way-because it is true, right, and good.
May God be with you until we meet again.
